Hydrogen peroxide will draw the stains out and the salt will absorb it. This way, you can clean effortlessly. Blot it out using a paper towel and sprinkle baking soda on both sides of the mattress to disinfect and deodorize it. You can vacuum it afterwards.
If The Mattress Is Relatively Clean
If the mattress looks clean, you can just deodorize and disinfect it. Dissolve mild detergent in clean water. Using sponge, scoop the suds from the solution and brush it on both sides of the mattress.
Afterwards, just sprinkle again baking soda on both sides of the mattress and leave it there to dry. This will also help remove any small stains or dirt. You can vacuum it and leave it there to dry.
If There Are Molds Inside The Mattress
If molds is your major problem, use a reliable steam cleaner, preferably one that produces dry steam. A dry steamer will help dissolve not only molds but also common germs, bacteria and viruses thriving in your baby's crib mattress.
A dry steam is necessary so it will not soak the mattress through. A moist mattress is a nice breeding ground for micro organisms which is why it is imperative to have it all dried up.
